Apartments Savinjski raj KATJA and TINA in Slovenia

General

In 2025, two luxury apartments Katja and Tina for 6-8 people with a total area of over 300 m2 were built in the immediate vicinity of Mozirje, surrounded by forest and just 300 m from the Savinja River. The apartments are located in the same building, mirroring each other. They consist of a basement with a wellness area (sauna, loungers, etc.) and a shared lounge, as well as storage space for skis and snowboards. The basement also has a mini wine cellar with wines available for purchase. The basement is accessed from a covered parking area for 4 vehicles. On one side, the basement opens onto a driveway that ends at the apartments, so there’s almost no traffic. On the other side, it’s completely underground because the terrain rises towards the forest, which surrounds the apartments on three sides and is perfect for a walk.

On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a sofa set that can accommodate two additional beds, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a smart TV, and free Wi-Fi. There is also a toilet with a bathroom and a washing machine on the ground floor. The ground floor with a panoramic wall offers a view of Mozirje and Dobrovlje and provides access to the terrace and lawn with a barbecue area.
Each apartment has its own hot tub on the terrace, which can be heated with wood in winter.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with large double beds and a bathroom with a toilet. The apartments are furnished with a combination of new and antique restored furniture, recycled old beams, and various antique details for a homely feel.

The entire building is extremely energy efficient. The basement is concrete with 25 cm thick EPS insulation, while the upper part—the apartment section—is wooden (Rihter hiše d.o.o.). Heating is provided by a heat recovery system and an additional air-to-air heat pump. There is also air conditioning for the hottest days. Rainwater is used for flushing the toilet. The entire project is in the process of obtaining the Slovenia Green Accommodation certificate [www.slovenia-green.si], which is obtained through the Green Key certificate [www.zelenikljuc.si], meaning a minimal environmental footprint when staying in the apartments.
