Temporary Closure of Krivec House

Dear guests and friends of Krivec House,

It is with regret that we inform you about the temporary closure of our beloved property, Krivec House. During the Savinja River flood in 2023, our house sustained damage, making it temporarily unavailable for rental.

The owner of Krivec House is committed to carefully restoring and renovating the property with the aim of reopening it for guests in the future if possible. We understand that many of you have wonderful memories of your stays at Krivec House, and we share in your disappointment regarding this unforeseen situation.

During this period, we kindly invite our guests to explore other vacation homes available on our website. Our diverse selection offers a range of options to suit your preferences, and we hope you find an alternative that meets your needs.

The Holiday apartment Krivec in Slovenia is near the village of Luce on the Savinja River apartment. With private entrance, for 3 people equipped with a modern kitchen with nice dining area. Modern bathroom and separate toilet.

Terrace with cozy seating adjacent to the babbling river, the Savinja. From the terrace there is a concrete staircase so you can walk directly into the shallow water. In the garden is the fixed grill so a caught fish can be put directly on the grill. You can bring your pet.

The apartment is located in Strmec belonging to the municipality Luce which is about 3 km from the apartment as well as the village Ljubno ob Savinji. In both villages you will find several restaurants and pizzerias where you can eat for a pleasant price.

The house is located in the immediate vicinity of the ice cave found some years ago by amateur speleologists. It is currently appreciated by many people from Slovenia and abroad for its unique ice pillars formed underground. A few dozen meters from the house is the starting point for water sports enthusiasts to make a trip on the Savinja River by kayak or dinghy.

In the village LUCE you will find the organization that organizes all kinds of sporting activities for tourists. Including kayaking-mountain biking-mountain hiking guided tours etc.

Further into the valley you will find the beautiful hiking trail to Robanoff-kot, a walk of about 1 hour on a good path. There is a parking lot for your car. Back in the valley you come to the national park “Logarska Dolina”. Here you can hike, climb and clamber and try to find the origin of the Savinja. A wonderful task for the youth. A trip on the Panorama Road is a great experience with continuous views of various valleys and will certainly leave a great impression.

Bicycles can be rented in nearby Nazarje, even electric bicycles can be rented for those who like a little support.                                                                 

From Struge there are roads with beautiful views of the underlying valleys to the capital Ljubljana and the tourist area Bled with its beautiful gorge “VINTGAR”. Both in about an hour to drive. in the nearby Gornjigrad is the great cathedral of Slovenia with its impressive interior.

Location

Strmec (Luce municipality) is located about 20 km from the highway from Ljubljana to Maribor runs. Strmec is also easily accessible via the pass “Paulitse satle”. This pass is located south of the city of Klagenfurt in Austria and is a quiet, but very many bends, transition in the vacation period when it is very busy at regular border crossings.
