This cottage is a former farmhouse but has recently been renovated into a comfortable vacation accommodation for 4 people with a sunny lawn and a covered terrace in case the sun is too hot for you. This covered terrace is a lovely place to enjoy breakfast and meals.

The fixed BBQ in the garden is a great help when enjoying a romantic evening meal. From this house you can explore the whole valley which is 45 km deep. Within an hour you can reach ljubljana or Ptui and Maribor via beautiful romantic roads. Most traffic goes on the good roads but for the tourist it is nice and quiet driving on the parallel roads.

The town of Celje with its great swimming lake can be reached in 15 minutes. During the walks in the area is likely that you by some farmer whose land you cross invites you for a self-made drink or a cup of coffee. Nearby you can raft or canoe, bicycles and electric bikes are available for rent.

In the hall is the entrance to the bright bathroom and the walk-in to the living room with kitchen. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, but lacks a dishwasher. The staircase with a kink leads to the upper floor with a double sleeping area. On the other side of the stairs there is another double bed. On this floor you will also find a separate toilet and access to the balcony with a view of the beautiful garden.

**Also for winter, this is a great base for skiing in the Golte ski area 3 km away. The house is heated by a wood-fired central heating system.  

Surrounding

Spondnja Recica is located 2 km from the village of Mozirje where you will find three supermarkets, while 1 km away you will find the Italian supermarket Eurospin for your daily shopping.

Besides this supermarket you can rent bicycles for wonderful cycling trips through the valley. In the winter you can rent skis. From this house you can walk in 10 minutes to a nice swimming spot in the river Savinja. Also for a visit to the famous capital and the tourist town of Bled this is a practical base because the car is close by and you can reach those places in about an hour through several romantic roads.

The famous places in the valley, Logarska Dolina and Robanoff Kot, and not least the Panoramska Cesta on the Austrian border can be reached easily from here.

Location

Spondnja Recica is part of the municipality Recica and is located 360 meters above sea level in the Savinja valley and 16 km from the freeway Ljubljana – Maribor on the road that runs to the border crossing Paulische Satlle to Austria.

From this road there are several exit roads into the forests or mountains and the lovely villages of Ljubno-Gornji grad-Luce and Solcava. In these villages you will find all kinds of hiking, biking, kayaking and rafting opportunities.
