24 hours from the veranda of huize Margot is: rising as the fog lifts from the valley and the green hills emerge. Down by the stream you will see deer drinking and across the valley the farmer lets his cows out to pasture. and here you can sometimes still see the grass being cut with a scythe. On every hilltop you can see a quaint little white church. The bells are striking, noon. The sun circles the house and makes it snugly warm. The rest of your party takes their seats at the long solid wood table where lunch turns into barbecue or dinner. You realize you haven’t heard a car all day. Darkness falls as the crickets chirp and the stars emerge. No light pollution here, you never saw it so dark.

House Margot is an estate in eastern Slovenia in the hamlet of Planina Pri Sevnice, on the edge of the Kozjanski National Park. The house was recently built from rough wood beams without using a single nail. It combines the cozy and authentic atmosphere of a wooden chalet with contemporary comfort. Due to the great biodiversity of the region and its location, Maison Margot is a dream destination for nature lovers, hikers, bird watchers and anyone who wants to escape from the hectic everyday life.

The house has an upper floor with 3 spacious bedrooms and 1 bathroom with WC and shower. Downstairs there is a second bathroom with WC and shower and a spacious living room with open kitchen. Downstairs you will also find a utility room, storage space and a very spacious (4 x 8 meters) covered veranda with beautiful views over the valley.
The central heating makes it possible to use the house in all seasons, moreover in the middle of the room is a large fireplace stove for those chilly evenings and coziness.

Based on the number of beds, the house can accommodate 6 adults. The rooms are spacious enough to add cribs and baby beds, these are available.
Pets are welcome.

Huize Margot is located halfway up a hill, situated at an altitude of 450 meters. The property extends from the stream that runs through the valley, through the lower pasture, a piece of forest to the upper pasture from which you have a view of the entire valley and is a total of 4.5 hectares. About 100 meters from the house is an authentic 2 hundred year old Slovenian stable.
The area is characterized by small-scale land, forest horticulture. It is hilly, sometimes even mountainous with many hamlets and small villages. Here and there you can still find a ruin of a castle.
