This vacation home is located near the old town of Gornji Grad with its Cathedral, This out of doors building is centrally located in Slovenia , so you can make beautiful day trips to all parts of Slovenia or relax in the sun or shade under the trees on the large lawn.

The Ramsak vacation home is situated a little higher against a mountain and there you have fantastic hiking possibilities with magnificent views of various valleys. The house was built recently and inside there is plenty of oak wood. The house is fully furnished with three nice bedrooms for 7 persons on the first floor. In the hall you will find the bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and washing machine. The owner lives in the farmhouse nearby and will be happy to help you. Especially for the children it is a great place to get acquainted with farm life in Slovenia and to explore the woods around the house which are freely accessible and offer all possibilities for building a tree house.

In the vicinity you will find in addition to many small residential communities the better known places Mozirje, Ljubno-Luce, the larger mining town Velenje and at some distance Celje, the city that has adapted to the Western European influences so that you can find several large shopping centers.

All around are opportunities for taking a bath or going on a bike ride-rafting-canoeing and swimming.

Relaxation

This vacation home is located one kilometer from the main road. Via an asphalted winding road you reach the vacation home. The phenomenal views with the rural tranquility and unspoiled mountain air guarantee a relaxing vacation. The house is located at the edge of the forest with a large alpine meadow in front with some fruit trees that provide shade on the many sunny days. In front of the house there is a wooden garden set and a barbecue. Cycling from this location is not such a good idea but if you bring the bike into the valley there is an extensive road network through which you can traverse the various valleys. For the sportsman there are all kinds of relaxing possibilities in the direct surroundings like kayaking – parasailing – rafting and guided horseback riding through the woods. On the first floor there is a living room with open kitchen, satellite TV and DVD player and a bathroom with toilet. At the front of the house there is a balcony where you can enjoy the overwhelming silence in the evening. On the upper floor are the double and triple bedrooms with washbasin.

Surrounding

From the house it is five km to the town of Gorni Grad with its impressive Cathedral. Here you can do some shopping and enjoy a nice terrace meal in the various typical Slovenian GOSTILNA, s and Pizzeria. There are also two stores where you can buy groceries for the inner man.

In the town of Mozirje, 15 km away, you will find three large supermarkets where you can buy everything you need for your vacation.

From Gorni Grad you can easily reach the entire Savinja Valley with its romantic villages and the nature park the Logarska Dolina. Nearby are several spas, each with their own specialty of healing waters.

Location

Gornigrad is located in the valley of the DRETA River and is easily accessible both from the Ljubljana – Maribor freeway and through the mountains from Kamnik. Ljubljana and Maribor can be reached within an hour by car. Because Gornigrad is fairly centrally located in Slovenia, most of the sights in Slovenia can be reached via short trips. To Ljubljana it is a really beautiful drive, about an hour on well paved roads through the mountains with beautiful views. Even the capital of Croatia can be reached in 3 hours, again through beautiful back roads or on the modern highway.
