General

The vacation home on the south side of the mountain with a large terrace, sunbathing area and play area is bathed in sunlight all day long. In the immediate vicinity is not a single inhabited house or farm. The wonderful view from the house and the terrace is breathtaking.
The house was originally a farmhouse and was thoroughly renovated on the outside and inside in 2015. The large windows in the living room with balcony offer views over the valley with its pine forests and the mountains in the distance.The double bedroom is neat but somewhat dated but the bathroom with shower is completely new. On the first floor you will find modern bedrooms, one double and one with three single beds. Together with the modern newly built bathroom, a good stay is assured. The kitchen-dining room has retained its original design. The brick stove and the bread oven, which was also used to heat the living room, have been retained. The kitchen is complemented by a large modern kitchen unit with all modern cooking and fridge / freezer equipment. A coffee filter machine and a microwave oven complete the kitchen. For meals there is a large extendable table that seats 8 people. There is enough space on the property to park several cars.

Surrounding

The house is located in the hamlet of Poljane which falls under the small municipality of Recica ob Savinja. Further down the valley you will find all kinds of small characteristic farming villages and beautiful valleys where you can enjoy hiking in the unspoiled environment. At the end of the valley lies the Logarska Valley. This park is a protected nature reserve with great views of the still snowy Southern Alps. Here you can take a walk along a marked path to a high restaurant from where you can overlook the entire Logarska Valley.

From Poljane you can take various routes to the western cities of Ljubljana and the tourist town of Bled, as well as to Maribor and Ptuj in the east. This is due to its central location in the center of Slovenia. For true hikers, a visit to the Alpine Garden on Mount Golte is a great walk. In this garden all the plants and trees that grow in various places in Slovenia are collected. With possibly rented bicycles an exploration of the Savinja and Dreta valley is not too difficult and doable for the inexperienced cyclist. For the mountain biker there are great routes through the mountains. For water sports enthusiasts there are kayaking and rafting opportunities in various places.

Location

Poljane is centrally located in Slovenia, about 4 km from the town of Mozirje, where you can buy all your daily needs in the three supermarkets in the town.
