The in 2014 built, so new vacation home Savinja is located on a slope with a wide view over the river Savinja and the mountain village LUCE. On the edge of the surrounding forests and with the pleasant murmur of the small river. An ideal place for a relaxing vacation. The house is equipped for up to 5 people. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a double bedroom with a bunk bed, as well as a bathroom with toilet and shower. Downstairs is the large living room with TV and cozy sitting area, modern kitchen and second bathroom with shower and toilet. From the living room you can reach the sauna via the balcony. On the covered balcony overlooking the valley, village and Savinja, is a modern hardwood garden set. Internet is available. A wonderful place to relax and recharge the battery, but also a great place for hiking and biking overlooking the southern Alps without being disturbed by traffic.
Surrounding
The center of the village, where you will find two supermarkets and a number of bars, gostilnas (local restaurants) and terraces, is a 10-minute walk from the paved road. Here you will also find the famous Slovenian restaurant “Raduha” with its beautiful menu where you will find delicious dishes partly based on European cuisine. A few kilometers further down the valley you will find the Savinska Dolina National Park where you can take beautiful hiking and biking tours. The various taverns with their lovely terraces overlooking the Southern Alps with their partially snow-covered peaks. A few kilometers in the direction of Ljubno you will find “Snezna Jama”, an ice cave which can be reached via a mountain road, a long staircase to the heart of the mountain, a unique ice composition can be seen throughout the summer. From Luce you can drive along a fantastic mountain road in 30 minutes to the mountain plateau “VELIKA PLANINA” where you can enjoy a full day of views including the Austrian Alps and a large part of Slovenia. You will also find shepherd’s huts scattered all over the plateau. These huts are now occupied in the summer by farmers who guard the cattle that graze on the plateau during the season. If necessary, one can be transported by cable car to the highest part of the mountain. From the village of Luce are organized various walks, canyoning and mountain biking tours. From Luce you can raft, canoe and paraglide under the guidance of experienced guides.
Location
The village of Luce is located in The upper Savinja valley that stretches from the village of Letus to the border crossing to Austria, Paulitz Sattle on top of the Savinska Alps and is about 45 km deep. In the Alps rises the small river Savinja on which in the past the felled trees were transported to the Black Sea. This mode of transport is commemorated annually during the Flosserski fest in the village of Ljubno ob Savinji. From Luce one drives in an hour on an asphalt mountain road to the capital Ljubljana. The city that after the separation from the Eastern Bloc has developed into a fashionable European city with many terraces and restaurants. The beautiful castle, the artists and the many museums with the vibrant city life make a visit to this city more than worthwhile.
